Tradesmen ME ("Tradesmen", "we") runs a home services and maintenance platform that connects customers with professionals and their crews in Lebanon and the region, through WhatsApp, our apps and our website. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Contact details: your name, phone number and WhatsApp profile name, and email if you give it.
- Messages and media you send us: texts, voice notes, photos, videos and locations sent to our WhatsApp number or apps, so we can understand and quote the work.
- Job details: addresses, property and equipment details, requested services, quotes, schedules, visit times, sign-offs, ratings and reviews.
- Professionals and crew: trade, skills, service areas, rates, availability, certifications and identity documents you upload for verification, and work records (check-ins, hours on site).
- Payments: amounts, invoices, wallet and payout records. Card numbers are not stored by us.
- Technical data: app log-in data, device and usage logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
- To answer your requests, match you with suitable professionals, prepare quotes and schedule visits.
- To send service messages: confirmations, reminders, quotes, crew offers and updates about your job.
- To run jobs on site (timers, crew attendance, materials) and to handle payments, invoices and disputes.
- To verify professionals and keep the platform safe, and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
- To improve our service, including pricing and time estimates, using job records.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not send you marketing messages without your consent.
Automated assistant
Our WhatsApp and in-app assistant uses AI models to read your messages, voice notes and photos and to reply, suggest professionals and draft quotes. A person on our team can review conversations and take over at any time. You can ask to speak to a person whenever you like.
Location (professionals and crew)
Only with your separate consent, we use your location while you are on duty: on the way to a job, on site, and on planned work days. We use it for routing, confirming arrival and telling the customer when you will arrive. We never track you off duty.
- Precise positions are encrypted and deleted after 30 days. We keep only job events (such as your arrival time) and a rounded position (about 100 m).
- Customers see only an estimated arrival time, never your position history. Every staff access to a precise position is logged.
- To confirm arrival, the customer receives a short code on WhatsApp and gives it to you in person.
- You can turn location off at any time by sending "stop location" (and back on with "location on"). You can still work without it.
Who we share it with
- The other side of your job: the professional (and their crew) you book sees the details needed to do the work, such as your name, number, address and job description; customers see the professional's profile, quote and ratings.
- Service providers acting for us: Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) to send and receive messages; cloud hosting and database providers; AI model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google) to process messages for the assistant; mapping providers to plan routes; and payment and email providers. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
- Authorities: when the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or our rights.
Some of these providers process data outside Lebanon; we use providers that apply appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep conversations and job records for 24 months after your last activity, unless a longer period is required for accounting, legal claims or disputes. Then we delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, under applicable law (including Lebanon's Law No. 81/2018 and, where it applies, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and the EU GDPR). See how to delete your data, or contact [email protected].
Security
We protect data with access controls, encrypted connections and restricted access for staff. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
Our service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

We will update this page when our practices change and show the new date above.
